When I was a child, I dreamed of Knights, of Kings, and a perfect world. There were Queen's and Princess's dressed in royal purple and gold.

Beautiful white Stallions filled fragrant stables with warmth, and laughing young maidens flirted with soldiers so bold.

I dreamed of the day when my own special Knight would come and carry me away,   love me, as I would love him. Oh I know, they were dreams, fantasies, from the heart of a child, but they were such happy times.

As an adult, I have learned there is no "knight in shining armor" riding in on a majestic white stallion to carry me off to the land of enchantment. But there is a man, an ordinary man to you, but an extra ordinary  man to me, because he loves me. He loves  me, just as I am, with my many flaws, regardless of the face I wear, the mistakes I make, he loves me.

And I love him. His faults are many, his armor has many "chinks", but I love him.  We have found no "land of enchantment", no perfect world, but in a most "imperfect world" we have found love, peace with ourselves and those around us, and we have discovered, even at our most "unlovable" we are truly loved. Do we "live happily ever after"? We don't think about it, we don't have to, for we live, one day at a time, taking life, one step at a time, knowing that to be loved, unconditionally is the greatest gift we could have. He has taught me this, taught me to love as I want to be loved, taught me to live in a world of reality, but always believe in Faeries, Unicorns, Knights in Shining Armor and unconditional, never ending love.
