To my yesterday, when love lived in another's heart for me,

when trust and faith filled my heart with overflowing love and ecstasy.

When  I could live that day, because I believed  my life wouldn't always be that  way.

Yes, welcome to my Yesterday when my heart was filled with love, trusting my future to the Blessed Powers Above.

But you don't want to share my life today, don't want to hear how love's gone away. You don't want to hear of a heart, tattered, destroyed, shredded apart.

Angry word's said from the depths of pain, uttered from the torment of a shattered soul. Accusations and denials, drawing apart , tortured,  separated by untold trials.

No, you don't want to hear of my life today, but let me assure it soon won't be this way.

Tomorrow a door will open wide, where there is nothing but warmth and happiness inside.

The Blue Birds will sing, their joyful tune, squirrels scamper and play, 'neath a full moon.

Pegasus will soar near the sun, and Unicorns will be seen by everyone.

Faerie's will laugh as they play in the brook,  beautiful red  roses will bloom forever , everywhere I look.

Eagles will soar to incredible heights, and  music of Angels will fill the nights.

The sweet nectar of The Gods will quench my thirst, I'll savor  manna from Heaven  and no longer be cursed.

No, you don't want to know what today holds for me, or the darkness of night when my soul screams to be free.

Of a heart that is broken, torn to shreds, faith destroyed, but there's joy ahead.

When tomorrow comes, and I pass through the door opened wide, to find peace, serenity and finally love, inside.

So I leave you with hope of better days, and my fervent prayer you don't follow the road where my journey led.

I've left the door open, swinging wide,

for broken hearts to follow and find peace inside.
