I
traveled my journey, and looking back,
the road has been long,
and fraught with
hurt, disappointments, but I still believe
in me.
I tried
to soar with eagles,
walk with angels,
let my soul run free,
I fell,
was shattered, broken
but I healed and I
still believe in me.

Come,
take my hand, walk with me, look at the
world thru my eyes,
take
your time, look hard,
then tell me what
you think you see.

Look
back down my road,
listen to the things I
have heard,
see the
choices I made,
but think carefully,
before condemning words.

I walked
with faith, with hope,
I lived open and
free,
My
mistakes were without number,
but I tried,
and I still believe in me.

Do I
believe in a Deity?
In Fairies? In
Unicorns?
In a world that's free?
I don't
know, I'm not sure
but I do know,
I'll
always believe in me.

When
words of love are spoken,
do I listen and
believe?
When
hope lies dying at my feet,
and dreams
are dead,
I still believe in me.

I
wouldn't believe diamonds
falling from a
black velvet sky,
but I
would believe the tears
that fell in
torrents
when he said good bye.

Oh faith
may be shattered ,
but look at the world
thru my eyes.
Don't
judge, condemn,
or ask reasons why.
Just
be happy and believe,
I'll always and
ever believe in me.
