Moments In Time ~
~~~
As we look
back through our life at the moments in
time that made us what we are today,
there are good memories, happy times, and
there are sad times.
But each stage
in our live, from the beginning, is a
small piece of what makes us who we are.
When as a
child and we play our games of make
believe, if we are lucky, this is a happy
time. But for some, it's just the
opposite. Its a time full of fear, of
need, or even abuse. But regardless of
the circumstances, it is a time for
making "memories."
When we meet
the one we think we truly love, the one
we want to marry, share our live with and
raise a family, then again, we are making
"memories".
Memories of
shared laughter, getting to know each
other, then pledging our vows, one to the
other before our friends and our God.
For some the
memories that we carry through life are
of a happy marriage, each day, even with
the trials and heartache that may come
upon us, the marriage is happy, love
truly lives in the home they share.
For others the
marriage is a "union made in hell". There is abuse, either physical or
emotional, there is need, the marriage is
only an empty shell of what we had hoped
for. But either way, happy or empty, each
day, we are, "making memories".
Then the time
comes for us when there is much more to
look "back on" than to look
"forward to" and we then tend to
be selective with our memories. We try to
remember the happy times, the good
things, and to forget the bad times, or
if not forget them, realize that time has
dulled the hurt. For those of us who
can't forget, or those of us who have by
constantly "feeding bad memories"
kept them foremost in our lives, as we
look back, it's not on happy times, for
we have chosen, what to remember, as we
were "making our memories".
In each "moment
in time", on our long journey
through life, we need to remember, each
day, we are,
Making
Memories.
