Life
is like entering a new express way, except there
are no signs to guide us,
no speed limits, no
maps to follow.
The lanes go to infinity
when we
are young.
no construction signs, no curves,
just straight ahead with no end in sight. Then
as time goes on,
we grow braver and braver
and
like Pegasus fly too high, too fast and we pay
the price.
 We
miss exits we should have taken, take those we
should have bypassed,
and we call it
"making choices".
But always, without
realizing it,
we have a constant companion.
Whatever choice we make,
wherever it leads us,
our companion is with us.
 We
may fly with Pegasus,
soar with the eagles,
fall
and think we are destroyed
but like the Phoenix,
rise up again and start over.
Always with our
constant companion. Unseen, but with us.
 We
may live up to some expectations, live down to
others,
but as long as we breathe, we live,
with
our constant companion.
We may sit in the
forest,
stroke the long silky mane
of the
Unicorn,
watch the Faeries play in the brook
and
listen to the happy song
of brilliant cardinals
or the worried cry of a protective wren, but
whatever we do,
we have our
companion.
 Our
companion who walks with us,
that no one else
can see. Our
companion that talks with us,
but no one else
can hear. Our
companion who never lies to us, never deceives
us,
and from whom we can hide no truth.
 Our
Conscience.
 The
one who looks back at me
in the mirror when I
say
"I did the best I could"
And knows
I did.
 The
one who listens when I say
"I loved with all my
being",
And knows I speak truth.
 The
one I see
when I close my eyes and pray for
sleep, knows I flew with Pegasus
and fell with
the Phoenix,
but knows I speak truth
when I say,
"Like
the Beautiful Phoenix,
I too will rise from the
ashes,
and again, fly with Pegasus, My
Conscience.

You
think Pegasus a Myth?
A
Fantasy? Then
step outside
on some cool dark night,
look high
into the Black Velvet sky, PEGASUS AS A CONSTELLATION
Pegasus is a constellation
of the Northern Celestial
Hemisphere, found well up
in the evening sky of
autumn.
A large square called
the Great Square of Pegasus
marks it in the sky.
