I glimpsed a ray of sunshine
in a black and threatening sky
reached out and drew it toward me
so I wouldn't need to cry.

I reached out and grasped a moon beam
as it slowly wafted by
and gloried in the quiet beauty
of the warm black velvet sky.

I rode astride of Pageus
as he soared so high and free,
then touched the horns of Unicorn
who were not afraid of me.

I marveled at the raging fire of Phoenix,
immersed myself and felt no pain,
for like the wafting moonbeam,
I, and Phoenix, will always rise again.
