She wanted to
give him a gift
for his special day,
she hadn't
much money,
but knew she could find a
way.
She searched through the racks
the
shelves, and the trays,
but nothing she found suited
him
for the price she could pay.
She discarded the
ties,
and the shirts didn't appeal,
he didn't need
a billfold,
and the colognes were unreal.
She shopped for so long,
but still
found nothing to buy,
so she sit down on the beach to
think
or perhaps to cry.
As she sit there thinking
neath the
stars above,
she knew what she'd give him,
Her
Heart,
Her trust,
Wrapped, and tied with
Love.
