Suspended
in a black velvet sky
holding her realm as she smiles
down at me.
I wonder, is she smiling 'cause
she knows I'm happy,
far happier than I thought I could be?
Pegasus
taught me to fly,
Unicorns taught me to believe and
Fairies dared dance for me.
The Great Phoenix raced through
the sky,
as butterflies brushed my cheeks
and whispered, "At last you are
free".
Yesterday
is gone, no more to return,
we can't go back, ever, and wonder
what might have been.
So we build a future filled with
happiness and love,
never look back at what might have been.
So
She holds her Realm,
and smiles down at me,
for she's watched my tears, despair
had torn me in two.
She knows I've found love, peace,
and from the past, at last I am free.
She
will always, smile down at me.
